After jumping through about 50 hoops, I finally got it to compile with JPEG support. It requires manual editing of the Makefile in the vision2.1 directory and merging a little bit of the “Full” example with the “Basic” example makefile. It should be pretty evident if you look at the files carefully. (I realize you’ve probably moved on already, but somebody that needs to do something similar will find this post and hopefully get pointed in the right direction, too…)

Sheesh, I love it! I’ve been looking for something like this that will keep all the tags…thank you much! I’ve adjusted the script so that it doesn’t do any resizing; I like to upload at full res. You may consider adding that in as an option.

Just a note for folks having problems. There is a typo in the note for anyone using older versions of ROOT: the function name is CreateGradientColorTable not CreateColorGradientTable.
Also, I couldn’t get this to work when I had both “gStyle->SetPalette(1)” and the code for defining your own palette included at the same time. Obvious now, but I didn’t figure it out for some time.

I’ve had a bug report that the flickr_upload auth token only works if it’s in ~/.flickrrc, not if you set it in picflick.

I will look into that.

I’ve found one mistake in the script picflick.
Line #53 must be like this:
TERMINAL=”xterm -geometry 120 -hold -e”

You missed “-” in “-e”.

Hi,

Any luck with 5.22 or 5.24? I’ve tried following your instructions for both but got a lot of errors – maybe because ubuntu upgraded to gcc 4.4, but I’m not sure. Any tips on getting them to work?
